ABOUT THE COVER ART:
I fell into this series of paintings and drawings after having to put my old horse down in 2001. I had her for 27 years and she was a member of the family and a component of my heart and spirit. After a couple years, my goal of getting another horse expressed itself through my art - abstractly - and a whole new facet of my spirit was opened up. I'm what most people call "horse crazy," a term used to signify a truly spiritual bond with those magnificent animals. It’s in my blood and my soul and I shall not deny it. —Cassandra Spangrude
