ABOUT THE COVER ART:
“The Ancients series came about as a response to trips made to the canyon lands of the Southwest, where ancient voices echoed from the clayed ground. This land was foreign to me and as such I did not think a ‘Southwest’ painting was in my vocabulary. However, when I returned to my studio, I discovered I was painting the very land that haunted me. The voices had won!”

Linda R. Wallace works with transparent watercolor, acrylic, mixed media, collage and monoprints. She begins without preconceived ideas which allows her the spontaneity to direct creativity. The painting then finds its own voice.
