Sacred Medicine Wheel-Angelic Gate
EARTH VORTEXES

Medicine Wheels are ancient and modern human-made formations that can be used for prayer, meditation, healing, teaching, strengthening your connection with Mother Earth, and to honor the Creator and the spirits of creation.

The medicine wheel represents all of creation. Each of the four directions has a ‘spirit keeper’ that can be called upon for personal help, blessings, and protection. The center stone symbolizes the Creator. The circle configuration is a sacred symbology of the ‘sacred hoop’ of all life.

Medicine WheelEach of the four cardinal directions has an associated color, element, animal or bird, season, and special meanings. For example, East is red, air, eagle, spring, mental healing, illumination, and rebirth. South is yellow, water, coyote, summer, emotional healing, and playfulness. West is black or blue, fire, bear, autumn, spiritual healing, and introspection. North is white, earth, white buffalo, winter, physical healing, and wisdom.

Ceremonies help a person to focus their intent upon a specific purpose or goal. Traditionally, a person smudges (cleanse) themselves before doing a ceremony. Sage sets the intent, cedar clears the energies, sweetgrass calls in the sweet spirits, and tobacco is a thankful offering.

Angel Gate
An Angel Gate is a special energy vortex configuration that is an angelic portal. It is set up in a pattern with eight gems/stones at each point. Each point has a specific angel and color associated with that stone’s frequency vibration. It is a star octahedron shape that creates a vortex of grace energy, which forms a tube taurus shape when activated. The purpose of an Angel Gate is for healing and receiving angelic communication.

Morning Star Wheel
In 2002, I was guided by Spirit to do ceremony and create a special energy vortex that was a combination of an Angel Gate and a medicine wheel. I was told that this sacred vortex would help to integrate the spiritual realm with the earthly physical realm. I later met a Metis teacher who was shown this same diagram in a vision. She told me that this pattern was also used by the Mayans, and was called the Morning Star Wheel.

Since then, I have been spiritually lead to set these sacred vortexes in Washington, Montana, Alaska, and Utah. When doing a group ceremony, participants have felt the powerful energies and have either seen or felt the presence of angels, power animals, nature spirits, or spiritual teachers. I was shown that these vortexes tie into the earth’s energy grid. I feel that these special sacred earth vortexes help to raise the spiritual vibration of our planet.

Indigenous Mother Earth
Wisdom Teachings

by Debra Peterson
Copyright © March 2006 Heart Links / All Rights Reserved

Indigenous peoples from around the world understood, observed, studied, and worked with Mother Earth for thousands of years. As earth guardians, they know that the centers of energy and vibratory fields of Mother Earth have been affected considerably by the loss of sacred life, desecration of earth’s sacred sites, and disconnection with the spirit of Mother Earth. They understand that there is a major disconnection between Mother Earth’s natural laws and man-made laws.

An answer to healing Mother Earth rests in the awakening of indigenous knowledge and wisdom, and applying that knowledge to bring about a harmonic relationship between humanity and Mother Earth. Now is the time for all people to better understand how things really work on Mother Earth: her universal laws, spiritual laws, and protocols of the earth, wind, fire and water—not the man-made laws. It is essential for the indigenous knowledge to be acknowledged and used for the long-term survival of humanity.

Bennie LeBeau Sr. (Blue Thunder)Bennie LeBeau Sr. (Blue Thunder) is from the Eastern Shoshone Indigenous Nation, of the Wind River Indian Reservation in Wyoming. He is one of Mother Earth’s wisdom keepers and spiritual guardians who has been receiving messages in dreams and visions with sacred instructions about harmonizing Mother Earth to bring her into health and balance. He is calling out to all peoples to unite in peace and come together as ‘One’ to harmoniously work on improving Mother Earth’s health through the activation and harmonizing of sacred sites in ceremony.

Ceremony is an important tool to teach people the importance of our Mother Earth and the blessings she has given all of us. According to prophecies revealed by indigenous peoples from visions of our respected ancestors, the day will come when the sounds of thousands of sacred drums will join together, with all cultures represented, for the beginning of the true healing of Mother Earth and all living beings.

On May 8, 2004, Blue Thunder led a great Medicine Wheel Ceremony at the Grand Tetons. This was a spiritual healing event for Mother Earth which simultaneously connected with other sacred sites in the West and around the world. The purpose was to help re-activate and re-attune the web of life’s subtle energy.

He has been spiritually directed to now hold an Uto Aztecan-Dolphin Nations/Crescent Moon Ceremony event on May 13 and 14, 2006. The goal is to send offerings of songs and prayers of sacredness, light, peace, truth and love in a spiritual way to all humanity and Mother Earth.

This ceremony will help to regenerate fields of powerful healing vibration at various sacred sites in the Western United States, and to help soften the blow of earth’s tornadoes, earthquakes, volcanoes, tsunamis, and other disasters. Blue Thunder will utilize songs, chants, drumming, and other sacred instruments to vibrate and bless these sacred areas.

In this ceremony, all tribal nations, groups, and cultures can begin to learn to work together in peace and harmony, and to remember that we are all brothers and sisters related to each and everything around us. We can begin to remember our spiritual paths and our true connection to Mother Earth, which will help lead us toward a peaceful and sustainable future.

The elementals of earth, wind, fire, and water have asked him to prepare the mountain peaks, bodies of water, and sacred sites for this powerful May ceremony. Blue Thunder will be traveling to these areas to do Mother Earth indigenous wisdom teachings and healing ceremonial protocols, in order to prepare the people and these sacred sites before the big May ceremony.

He will be in Spokane to do these preparatory teachings and ceremony on March 25-26, 2006. To participate in this these events for March and May, contact Debra at (509) 276-4028, debra@AlternativeHealthTherapy.com. Blue Thunder’s web site is www.Teton-Rainbows.com.

What Is A Sacred Site?

by Lauren O. Thyme

A sacred site is a locale where the earth's power radiates more strongly in a vortex of energy. Sacred sites are usually situated on natural energy streams that run beneath the earth's surface. Sacred places can be natural, like holy wells or rock formations, or built out of stone and earth.

Ancient peoples intuited power places, worshipped Nature, the Goddess and other deities there, performed healings and other ceremonies, and used them as "temples of learning."

Often they raised monuments of huge stones containing high concentrations of crystalline substances, using advanced techniques since forgotten or lost in modern times. They aligned their monuments, as distinctly seen at Stonehenge, Carnac in France, and the Egyptian pyramid complex, with the potency of the extra-terrestrial forces of the sun, moon, planets and/or stars to augment the already vital energies  pulsating there. Ancient people often built their sites using sacred geometry such as circles, ovals, and pyramids.  Furthermore, using arcane knowledge, ancient people were able to "seal in" the immense power of their sacred sites with ritual and ceremony, so that sacred sites still vibrate with wisdom and energy after thousands of years.

With the advent of Christianity, Islam, Judaism, Hinduism and Buddhism, new religious edifices were often built on top of ancient sacred sites, like Chartres in France and Glastonbury Abbey in England. However, these religions retained intuitive understanding and ancient memories of the mystical and mysterious forces of nature and utilized the power of these sites.

Where Are Sacred Sites?
Sacred sites exist all over the world.  Sometimes they are huge complexes, like the Egyptian and Mayan pyramids and temples, Avebury and Stonehenge (England), Carnac (France) and the Callanish Stones (Scotland). Many are small, like Loanhead of Daviot (Scotland) or Stanton Drew (England), quietly tucked away in cow pastures or in a forest wilderness, practically unknown except to local residents or sacred tour groups. However, regardless of their size or reputation, all sacred sites contain vast oscillating intensity. Furthermore, each sacred site is unique and contains its own unique vibrational coding, activity and purpose.
Why Go To A Sacred Site?
They are boundless sacred and holy repositories containing light, energy and wisdom. Sacred sites are believed to have been originally created by ancient peoples for:
• learning psychic and spiritual abilities, higher knowledge and wisdom,
• healing of physical, emotional, and spiritual bodies as well as personal, group and planetary problems,
• power generation and connection - to themselves, each other, other communities, to the earth, other dimensions, and to the sun, moon, planets and stars' dynamism.

Thus, when visiting sacred sites, one can achieve spiritual, psychic, and/or metaphysical development in minutes what might ordinarily take months or years. Another benefit is the advancement of personal and global wisdom and knowledge as well as healing one's self and the planet.

When visiting a sacred site a symbiosis or bonding takes place. In other words, one embodies the sacred site's energy and wisdom, while simultaneously one's conscious human energy activates and expands the resonance and impact of the site. Another special form of linking occurs when visiting a sacred site. One becomes energetically connected to:

• other individuals and groups who've visited the site,
• other sites joined along the energy lines of the site being visited,
• individuals and groups who've visited those other linked sites.

Therefore, since visiting sacred sites creates a connection with other sacred sites and individuals around the world, "global community" and a sense of oneness and unity is both formed and enhanced.

Creating Your Own Sacred Site
Any place can become a sacred site, including one's garden, home, office, or special meditative place. All that is needed is:

• earth (should be situated on the ground floor of a building; outside is even better),
• a water source (preferably running water like a fountain or stream, but can be a simple basin of water),
• intention to make the space sacred and holy,
• group energy to increase the vibrations (two or more people present),
• sacred sound (like singing or chanting),
• natural crystalline rocks (like quartz or amethyst),
• fire (candles),
• prayer (whatever kind you prefer).
